This is a tribute to an old VS which has gone through some revisions over the years. This is revision WIN8.

It makes full use of Windows Auto-Color feature so there is a tonne of possibilities or you can color it your self. Play!

Instructions |


First of all we need to patch Windows 8 to use themes, here's the tool I used [link]
You can use whatever 'works' for you. :)

Now once your PC is capable, place the theme files into Windows/Resources/Themes

Then goto your desktop and apply it as you would any other theme. It will be located under "Installed Themes".

If you wish to get rid of the ribbon use the provided tool. That should be it, any questions just ask.

Hello! I'd like to start off by congratulating you for your awesome work.
Now, I have a problem. I've followed your tutorial, meaning:
1. Use the patcher you linked to, then restart PC.
2. Download theme, extract, place in windows/resources/themes.
3. Went to desktop and applied theme.

This is what I get.What did I do wrong?

I used dumbassv4 on XP and this is the first good reason I have seen to switch from Windows 7 to 8. Thank you for your great work.

A great theme I think, I like it very much, the colors changing is wonderful.
What's the font of this theme? I'm a Chinese user, figure it don't have the right font in my OS.
